Meetings were held to educate garment workers, predominantly women, about the various government schemes available and how to access them. Information about the different departments responsible for implementing these schemes and details of the officials overseeing them were provided. Munnade registered on various online government platforms and utilised the acquired knowledge to assist workers, their children, and family members. This assistance included providing information on how to apply for the schemes and facilitating the application process. The schemes covered a wide array of benefits, ensuring comprehensive support. These included obtaining a ration card for access to free and subsidised groceries (including rice, pulses, oil, etc.), widow pension, old age pension, educational scholarships for children, pension for unmarried women over 40 years of age, pension and schemes for transgender persons, schemes for the disabled, construction worker identification cards, and bus passes for construction workers, among others.
