Seetha Lakshmi is a development professional with postgraduate qualifications in Journalism & Mass Communication and Sociology, and over 15 years of experience across the development sector, corporate ecosystems, and civil society organisations.

She has worked with renowned NGOs, INGOs, and corporate institutions, primarily handling Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), ESG, and Environmental Sustainability initiatives, with a strong focus on rights-based and impact-oriented approaches.

She has also extensively researched, written, and presented papers at national and international conferences on developmental issues, environmental issues, women’s rights, workers’ rights, and environmental justice.

Deeply engaged with grassroots movements, Seetha is actively associated with Jagrutha Karnataka, an organisation aimed at driving political transformation, and Spandhana, which works for the rights and dignity of women in the unorganised sector in Ramanagaram. She also serves on the Board of Munnade.
