Munnade Social Organisation, established in 2011 and based in Bengaluru, operates actively in Bengaluru Urban, Bengaluru Rural, and Tumakuru districts. Founded by former women garment workers, our organisation brings a unique, insider perspective to the challenges faced by women in the garment industry.
Our Story

With a deep understanding of the sector and strong community ties,
we are committed to addressing the social, economic, and legal issues confronting women garment workers. Our initiatives include the formation
of Self-Help Groups, training on labour rights and laws, capacity-building workshops, counselling, and legal assistance.
Our Mission

Beyond supporting women workers, we also focus on the well-being and development of their children providing access to daycare, educational support, and linkages to welfare schemes offered by bodies such as the Workers’ Welfare Board, the Department of Women and Child Development, and the Department of Backward Classes and Minorities.
Munnade also serves as an advocacy platform, representing the voices of garment workers and engaging with the state government to ensure their rights and needs are addressed.
